  1. Oct 28 – Lit – Act 3 Agenda: • Nunnery • Mousetrap • Anything else… Homework: • Nothing new – catch up on journal entries Take out: • Hamlet • Pen/Pencil • Notebook • Act 3:1 and 3:2 Worksheets

  2. “Get thee to a nunnery…” • You will be reading through this chunk of the scene (line 88-148) three times, each with a different focus. • With each reading, comment on the changes in how Hamlet would act towards Ophelia, and how Hamlet would deliver the specific content. What lines have different meaning given the different understandings? • Reading 1: Hamlet KNOWS that Polonius and Claudius are spying on him THE WHOLE TIME. • Reading 2: Hamlet LEARNS that Polonius and Claudius are spying on him PART WAY THROUGH the discussion. (You can decide where/how he learns this). • Reading 3: Hamlet NEVER KNOWS that Polonius and Claudius are spying on him. • What do Claudius and Polonius learn from Hamlet? What do they determine are their next steps?
