Overview • Dates – Masters Programme • Oct – April each year • Pastoral and feedback visit at 3 months • Assessment visit at 6-7 months • Masters placements run in exactly the same way
Learning outcomes Intellectual skills • Problem solving • Evaluating information critically • Applying theory independently to new problems and situations • Synthesising and analysing information to propose new solutions to problems • Learning from feedback
Learning outcomes Transferable skills • Group and team working skills • Problem recognition, analysis and solution • Data manipulation (including IT skills) • Communication: oral and written presentation, and interaction with patients and other professionals
Requirements for successful completion • IRCP - All compulsory “O”s, “P”s and “FDs” for sections A1-15 (except A7) and B1-5 must be complete • IRCP - One “FD” for all sections of B1-5 must be signed by the university appointed assessor at the assessment visit. This includes an impression and a masked PTA • IRCP - Competency signatures must be complete
Requirements for successful completion • PDP must be satisfactory • Placement evaluation report must be satisfactory • Skills domains must achieve a mark of at least 50%
