  3. KEY ELEMENTS OF THE TRIPARTITE FIRST NATIONS HEALTH PLAN A 10-year health plan with four key elements: Governance, Relationships, and Accountability Health Promotion/Injury and Disease Prevention Health Services Performance Tracking

  4. TFNHP Governance Commitment • Design a new governance structure • Seek ratification of this governance structure by the Parties • Oversee the implementation • Ensure duplication will not occur and a parallel health service delivery structure will not be created

Role of Province and Health Authorities • Governance and service delivery partners • Support innovation at the regional and community level • Reciprocal accountability processes • Explore transfer of Aboriginal Physician Advisor position to First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), and evolution to that of a First Nations Provincial Health Officer • Explore legislative options to recognize FNHA
