  1. Kisite-Mpunguti Islands

  2. The Kisite Marine Park and Mpunguti Marine Reserve around it is the best park in Kenya with little damage/bleaching to it’s coral due to global warming reason being the drop off from 50 feet to 1’300 guaranteeing a constant flow of fresh/cool water. All four islands are a unique opportunity and superb investment. Island one is 0,8 ha freehold title, island two is 3.7 ha with leasehold title for 99 years/approved for hospitality business, island three is 5 ha and island four is 12.1 ha.

  3. Nobody has ever lived on these pristine islands, pure nature, coconut crabs, bird life and turtles nesting. The smallest island of 0,8 ha is visited by some 70’000 snorkelers and divers p.a. Few tourists dive around the bigger three islands. The water around the islands is controlled by KWS (Kenya Wildlife Service) just like any other Park like Tsavo. Fishing around the little island is strictly forbidden. Around the bigger three however ONLY owners or residents may sport fish/fly fish, no trolling, and these are fish rich waters.

  4. The islands are an ideal opportunity for a private developer for villas or resorts. Each island is owned by a Kenyan Limited company which means a sale is a simple transfer of shares, no land control board, no stamp duty. The area is a marine reserve having been gazetted on June 2 1995 together with Mpunguti and Kisite. The Kenyan Wildlife Service and the National Museums of Kenya want the islands preserved in their natural state.

  5. Location The islands are located within the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park & Reserve, on the far south coast of Kenya, off Shimoni and South of Wasini Island in Kwale District. The islands are located off Kenya's south coast close to the Tanzania border. The nearest airstrip is 15 minutes flight from Mombasa in Funzi. By road it takes 2 hrs from Mombasa plus a boat ride of some 20 minutes. The complex covers a marine area with four small islands surrounded by coral-reef.
