CAP Organization • CAP birthdate - December 1, 1941. • Supported World War II, sunk two German submarines off US coast. • Non-profit, benevolent corporation chartered by Act of Congress in Public Law 476, 79th Congress, July 1946. • IRS 501(c)(3) corporation. • Only Auxiliary of the USAF. Civil Air Patrol
