  2. Class Rules • Come to class on time, prepared, and ready to work. • No profanity or disrespectful language. • Follow directions the first time given. • Don’t be afraid!!! Speak Spanish as much as possible. • All school wide/county/code of conduct rules will be strictly enforced. • RESPECT my room.

Supplies • 1 inch/3 ring binder (larger is ok) • Set of dividers • Paper and pencils • Black or blue pens • Highlighter • Sticky notes • Index cards to make flashcards throughout the year • Index card rings (to organized and store flashcards) • Wish list • Dry erase markers • Markers, crayons, or colored pencils • Kleenex • Hand sanitizer

  4. Why learn Spanish? Many American companies are currently looking for individuals who can function in diverse groups, get around in other countries, be respectful of other cultures, and solve international problems.

  8. How to be successful… • Come prepared and keep notes organized • Memorize new vocabulary and read over the previous vocabulary • Participate in class and use what you know • Ask questions if you don’t understand • Don’t feel the need to panic over every word!!!

  9. EXTRAS • Watch tvor listen to music in Spanish • Read aloud to yourself in Spanish • The library, iTunes, and the web have lots of free Spanish learning resources • Teach someone else
