Artwork by Wassily Kandinsky Kandinsky is a world famous expressionist painter who loved art and painted pictures nearly all his life. Kandinsky was born in 1866 and sadly died in 1944.My Favourite PaintingMy favourite painting by Kandinsky is colourful and looks like lots if guitars. In fact there are many colours in this picture and also swirls of paint. I think the painting looks a bit like a ghost party.Story Behind the Painting I personally think that the story behind the colourful painting is a ghost party. There are so many swirls in it that it looks like the king ghost is playing the guitar. Attention GrabbingI like the painting because I love colour and music and this painting has both. I also think this painting is interesting because nobody actually knows what is going on inside it. The swirls around the page really grabbed by attention. So you see, Kandinsky art really makes you think, but Kandinsky didn’t just paint one painting, he painted lots of great famous pictures and that’s what made him a very famous painter. By Ben D

I like this painting because I thought it was interesting and I also liked it because I thought it was very fashionable. The colours are amazing and they grab your attention. The background interests me because it goes with the picture. I think the hands belong to a mummy and that it looks like there are mummies fighting in the background. By Lilly-Jane F

Wassily Kandinsky Wassily Kandinsky is a world famous artist who loved from 1866 – 1944. He is very well known artist that painted thousands of paintings. He mainly studied and painted expressionist art.My Favourite ArtworkMy favourite piece of art by Kandinsky is of a fish because it reminds me of my first fishing trip. There are images surrounding the painting, like a glass of water and roses in a bottle. I obviously picked this painting because it makes me think of Kandinsky’s young life. I think it explains where he went, what he liked to eat and reminds him of his childhood. The Story Behind the PaintingThis remarkable painting, I believe, was painted because of his dinner. I picture it as a lovely day out on a warm, sunny afternoon in a fancy farmhouse restaurant. Kandinsky had fish, which I presume was mackerel, and really enjoyed it. He then took a cup filled with water and took a sip. Many years later he remembered that day and painted this picture. This extraordianry painting is now placed in a Museum of Art , Kandinsky also painted the well known image ‘The Comet.’ By Ethan D
