Scope • An introduction and simple overview of the issues related to international standards in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector • How they can be useful in supporting the adoption of alternatives in the context of the phase-out of HCFCs • Brief overview of main existing standards related to HCFCs and their alternatives and barriers to alternatives • Information on process of the adoption of international standards at the national level • Information on barriers to the adoption and how to overcome them
