Who are we? • An Association of Solidarity (Law 1901) created on 19/08/2004, registered under No. 20040036 at the Police Prefecture of Paris • Our Objective: to contribute to the development of rugby in Africa for the young, encouraging learning through its donations of materials and equipment • Our Values:Social: tolerance, sharing, generositypedagogy: enforcement collectivesport development through play, uncompetitiveHuman: solidarity between people
Our Supporters • The French Rugby Federation • The International Rugby Board • Confédération Africaine de Rugby (CAR) • Yannick NYANGA (Front Row Forward, Toulouse Rugby Team), who is originally from Congo / Brazzaville • Rugby club donations to RSF mostly come from the clubs themselves and their members and supporters.

The Present Situation in Africa • Players aged from 6 to 18 years • Coaching:Comprise of senior players (age 18 years plus), who have completed IRB and CAR approved coaching courses. • Pitches • -the majority and bare and without and grass.-sand covered beaches • Problems/Difficulties • -sanitation; in certain cases we contribute/offer food and general care • -social; security problems, industrial disputes/strikes and protests. • -cultural; families who may be resistant, in addition to the fact that soccer is generally the most popular and accessible sport.
The Needs • Rugby Furnishings: • -Balls • -Shorts. • -Socks • -Football boots • -Jerseys. • -Shoulder pads/protectors. • -Scrum Caps/protective Head Gear • -Training/Practice Tops. • -Training Cones etc. • First Aid Supplies :-Team First Aid Kits
Our Aims and Objectives • - To offer every child the opportunity to play and benefit from sport, regardless of problems such as infrastructure and resources. • - Through the medium of rugby to bring smiles to the faces children and young people. • - Through the involvement of Rugby to enable people from different regions, races, religions and cultures to form closer relations. • - To enhance children’s lives and levels of happiness/contentment, to help build their personalities and overall development, (the school of rugby is the school of life!). • -To promote children’s and young people’s education thorough the medium of sport (from street children to those attending school or working). • -To build bridges and help with contributions and gifts of school materials, for instance in the school of Cadjehoun in Benin ( school materials were donated to those children who participated in playing rugby).
Some Figures • 0 € Operating Budget • Twenty Volunteers from Air France and elsewhere (Love rugby and Africa) • 1300 kg carried since 2004 • 500 Children and players who were the beneficiaries of RSF
In Conclusion • The Advantages of RSF: • -The regular monitoring of RSF donations throughout the calendar year. • -No transport costs for either donated rugby equipment or Coaches travelling to Africa courtesy of Air France and AS France Rugby Roissy. • Our Projects: • - Opening a section in Ireland • - Participation in Porquerolles/RSF Rugby Tournament which allows us to introduce the association and receive donations. • - Opening a other Rugby Tournament (for receive donations)
