The Educational Innovations Project(EIP) • One of 17 programs in the country selected by the ACGME in Phase 1 to re-define Medical Education for Internal Medicine (there are now 21 total) • Flexibility to create a training program that emphasizes the knowledge, skills and attitudes in the 6 core competencies for physicians of the 21st century In 2005, the Residency Review Committee for Internal Medicine (RRC-IM) developed the Educational Innovations Project (EIP) to reform internal medicine accreditation and foster residency training innovation
