HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 3) Memory Verse: 2Timothy 1:8 “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God.” BIBLE PASSAGE:2 Timothy 2:1-14 INTRODUCTION: We have learnt in our previous lessons that God is willing to use us and honour us but this requires that we live a pure life. Today, we want to consider the choice of the Master and how He treats them.
HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 3) Outlines: THE LORD CHOOSES WHOM HE WILL USE THE INVITATION IS OPEN TO EVERYONE
HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 3) • Outline 1: • THE LORD CHOOSES WHOM HE WILL USE. • God’s vessels are not democratically chosen or by casting lots. He does not choose by popular opinion, age, education or nationality. His choices are as He deems fit for His purpose. Some of His choices may also lose the privilege due to disobedience. – John 15:19, Acts 1:23-25, Romans 9:10-16, Romans 9:21, 2 Samuel 15:6-7, 2 Kings 15:5, 2 Timothy 4:10, John 6:10, John 13:18, Acts 9:10-15, 1 John 4:10.
HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 3) • Outline 2: • THE INVITATION IS OPEN TO EVERYONE. • God is fair to all. He invites everyone to come to His table – Isaiah 45:22. Usually, He send His invitations through men. Many do not accept His invitation but if you do, He will send you to others too. It is among the invited ones that He makes His choices. If you accept His invitation today, He will send you to others left in the world that must be saved too. Are you willing to be used for his honour? – 2 Corinthians 5:20, John 7:37-38, Revelations 3:20, Revelations 22:17.
HERE AM I, USE ME (PART 3) • CONCLUSION • The Master’s call to become a vessel unto honour is open to all. If you accept, you have started the journey to a glorious honour on earth and in Heaven. To refuse is to refuse eternal life.
