  3. King on His Throne • Kingdom exists today Mark 1:15; 9:1 (Acts 1:8; 2:1-4) • Since Pentecost, Col. 1:13; Rev. 1:6, 9 • His church, Matt. 16:18-19 • King on throne, Acts 2:29-36 (Lk. 1:32) • David’s son exalted,2:29-31, 33 • Reigning now,2:34-36 (Psa. 110:1-2)

  4. King on His Throne • The King now has ALL authority, Matt. 28:18; Eph. 1:21-23 (Psa. 2:8-12) • If he is not reigning…not ALL authority • He has ALL authority…now reigning

King on His Throne • King will rule until the last enemy (death) is abolished, 1 Cor. 15:24-28 • Return of Jesus is END, not BEGINNING • Then, kingdom DELIVERED UP to the Father, not ESTABLISHED on earth, 15:23-24 • Reigns until death is subjected, 15:25-26 (resurrection, 15:22) • With death abolished, God reigns eternally (in heaven), 15:28 (24)

  9. Nature of the Kingdom Daniel 2:34-35, 44-45 • Everlasting, Luke 1:33 • Not only 1,000 years • We already have an everlasting kingdom, Heb. 12:28 (22-23) • Gives us confidence • Prompts reverent living (Psa. 110:3)

  10. Kingdom is the Church • Christ on throne with all authority • When Jesus returns & abolishes death, the kingdom will pass into the eternal realm of existence • You can have kingdom blessings now: Mercy, peace and eternal life • PEARL OF GREAT PRICE (Matt. 13:44-46)
