IN 2006 MY MOTHER, BROTHER, SISTER AND I SPENT 2 WEEKS VISITING VIETNAM • IT WAS THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME • MY MOTHER WAS BORN IN VIETNAM • FOR MANY YEARS WE HAVE HEARD HER TELL STORIES ABOUT VIETNAM. • FINALLY, WE GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE WHERE SHE GREW UP AND MEET MANY RELATIVES FOR THE FIRST TIME. • IT WAS QUITE AN EXPERIENCE. • WE STARTED OUR WHIRLWIND TOUR IN THE NORTHERN CITY OF HANOI AND WORKED OUR WAY TO HO CHI MINH CITY IN THE SOUTH PART OF VIETNAM. • THERE WAS ABOUT A 30 DEGREE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2 CITIES DURING THE TIME WE WERE THERE. • I LEARNED MUCH ABOUT OUR FAMILY HISTORY. • THE FOLLOWING SLIDE SHOW IS A SAMPLE OF THE MANY PICTURES WE TOOK DURING OUR TRIP. • Manny Wei
