  12. So what is delivering? 1. A database of different manufacturer’s and retailer’s products to go on SPOKES website Including info on: • Type (wall mounts, pulleys, stands, lockers, shelters) • Internal or external • Relative expense • Ease of installation • Overall positives and negatives of each ‘type’ NB. Many interviewed have bespoke facilities made for them. What does this tell us about what’s on the market?

Issues (Katherine Ivory) • Building standards, esp for stairwell storage • Developing good relations with neighbours • Engaging landlords - ‘Cycle-Friendly Landlord’ accreditation?? • Abandoned bikes • On-street storage – design, Streetscape, residents’ reactions… • Funding for communal storage improvements • New-build flats (‘Cycle-Friendly Developer’ accreditation?)

Solutions……. • In your own flat it should be straighforward • But beware ‘listed building’ issues • In ‘common areas’ inside ask neighbours • Again beware of the regulations! • Outside can be a problem • Much more likely to be objections • Regulations and flexibility • Recommendations to SPOKES
