Steadfastness. For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. Colossians 2:5.

  1. Steadfastness For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. Colossians 2:5

According to Advanced Junior Dictionary, 1) STEADFAST means to “FIRMLY FIXED”; “NOT MOVING OR CHANGING”. 2) Example sentence: Benjamin Franklin was a steadfast servant of his country. • The steadfastness of Ruth in Ruth 1:18, “18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.”

  3. A. Her mother in Law named Naomi saw her as her strong steadfastness: 1. Where you(Naomi) go I(Ruth) will go. 2. Where you lodge I will lodge. 3. Your people will be my people. 4. Your God will be my God. 5. Where you die I will die…

  4. B. The steadfastness of Boaz in Ruth 2:4, “4 And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and saidunto the reapers, The Lord be with you. And they answered him, The Lord bless thee.” • Boaz walked along barley field steadily and cheerfully saluting the famers. His cheerful attitude pleased them. • He steadily protected her. • He steadily provides for her. • He married her for their steadfast love. • Through their son Obed, they became ancestors of King David and of the Lord Jesus Christ ( Matthew 1:5). • The Lord Jesus Christ came to save us from the death and hell.

Christians should take a strong stand for themselves and God, • Psalm 78:8– And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God. • Hebrews 3:14– For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.

  7. WE PERFORM OUR CHRISTIAN WORK WITH STEADFASTNESS TO TRUTH, RESPONSILIBITY AND OPEN COMMUNICATION.
