Religion • Buddhism was the chief religion • Confucianism has had a big impact • The Royal Family established monoasteries • The elite favored Buddhism over Confucianism

Intellect • Experimented with the movable type • Iron, paper, lacquerwork, porcelain, and celdon • The written language was han’gul
Art • Similar to Chinese art and literature • Created pale green-glazed bowls called celadon • Created woodblock prints in Chinese characters
