Planning for 10-12 Schools • Creating dynamic academic programming so that bothschools attract student choice • Develop academies model for the 10-12 schools • Spring 2018 met with current Morris students, teachers, parents, and community members to discuss secondary programming for new school • School visits to explore academies • High School Administration, CTAE and Fine Arts teachers • Boaz High School • Lanier High School • Davidson Fine Arts Academy Secondary Grade Configuration Change

Planning for 10-12 Schools • Conceptual planning of programs, school leadership, staffing, transportation, scheduling and organization • Administrative team meetings with secondary principals, content & engagement, human resources, finance, communications and superintendent • Superintendent dialogue with board to update and refine staff conceptual plans Secondary Grade Configuration Change

Staffing • Anticipate same number of teaching positions based on expected enrollment • May 2020 name principal(or principals) • Fall 2020 teacher submits school, grade level, content preferences • January 2021 school principals make staffing decisions • February 2021 staffing decisions are announced • Teachers will have the opportunity to review their assignment before signing a new contract Secondary Grade Configuration Change
