Development Agenda - Key • ...service informal settlements as quickly as possible • ...use well located land for higher intensity use • …intensification of Nodes/Urban Centres and Corridor Segments: mixed use, higher density (viable PT, LED, better QoL) • …efficient PT between main Sending & Attracting Nodes (major formal employment fixed) • …promote regional integration where warranted (esp the 4 key rural nodes thru surfacing PT routes & providing social facilities) • …Switch to IT networks to reduce need for physical movement • Promote social integration thru mixed use & income projects In long term aim to make ‘walkable’ or short hop’ communities where bulk of needs can be met. Even aim for self sustainability from employment perspective.
