Paper Pets

1. Paper Pets Each of you will create a paper pet. See teacher example. You will use principles of genetics to see how the following traits are inherited: gender, body color, eye shape, nose shape, tooth shape Students will use principles of genetics to see how traits are passed down from parents to offspring.

2. 3. Trace and cut out Paper Pet. • Write the following on the back: Pet’s name, Pet’s genotypes and phenotypes, and your name.

4. Sit with partner • Fill out Punnett Square chart with partner. Color B female b b male b

6. Finish creating offspring. • Fill out genotype charts
