    1. Classification and Variation By Elizabeth. C and Katherine. W.E

    2. Contents Introduction Vertebrates More Vertebrates Invertebrates More invertebrates Plant groups A branched key

    3. Introduction In this slide show we are going to tell you all about Variation and Classification which isnt as complicated as it sounds! Really all it is, is sorting different animals in to groups. ENJOY!!

    4. Vertebrates Vertebrates are animals with a back bone, for instants we are vertebrates as the spine is our backbone. All Mammals have backbones so do reptiles eg. Crocodiles etc.

    5. More vertebrates Example of vertebrates: Fish, penguins, frogs, birds, snakes, dogs, lions, whales, sharks and bats. In fact majoraty of animals are vertebrates.

    6. Invertebrates Invertebrates are animals with no backbone. All though you may not think it this is not impossible! Though they do need extra protection like a shell or up to three body parts

    7. More Invertebrates Example of Invertebrates: Worm, Centipede, Butterfly, Tarantula, wasp, crab and a Spider. These have got no backbone. Lots of these are insets

    8. Plants All the plants in the world can be put in to one of the to groups flowering group and no flowering groups. Other groups are; grasses, cereal (wheats) Garden shrubs deciduous trees (lose their leaves like an oak tree) non-flowering plants Algae (pond seaweed), Fungi, Ferns, coniferuous trees( keep their green)

    9. Branch key
