Percents as Fractions • Examples • 52% = • 12% = • 25% = • 32% = 32 per hundred Which is the same as • 32 hundredths 32 100
Percents as Decimals • 17% = 17 per hundred = 17 hundredths So… since we know our place values…. 17 hundredths = .17 Examples 75% = 6% = 13% =
Decimals as Percents • Move the decimal to the RIGHT of the digit in the HUNDREDTHS place • (2 places to the right) • .12 and 12% both mean “12 hundredths” .12 12%
Fractions as Percents • Convert fraction to decimal with long division OR • Find an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 100
