  3. Group Discussion • Divide into 4 groups (check your colour) • 2 groups in lecture theatre   • 1 group in coffee area  • 1 group in Function Room (opposite) • 2 Topics for discussion: • New methodologies • Risk Reduction

  4. Group Discussion • Topic 1 : New methodologies • What are the critical gaps in knowledge • What does IMPACT address? • What is the best research approach to meet these gaps? • What is possible?

  5. Group Discussion • Topic 2 : Risk Reduction • What are the key weaknesses of the current approach? • What areas are not addressed by IMPACT • How do you integrate knowledge into risk management practice? • What are the implications and requirements for industry?

Group Discussion Priorities  focus on New Methodologies (and Risk Reduction if time)   focus on Risk Reduction (and New Methodologies if time) Groups should: • nominate reporter, use flip charts / overheads • prepare 5 min summary report (for 15:30) • Identify top 3 issues within conclusions   in lecture theatre  in coffee area  in Function Room (opposite)
