Proposed Data Questions:General Instructions • These questions have been formulated to follow the framework of the OMB FEA Data Reference Model (DRM), addressing three basic data categorization areas (data context, data description, and data sharing/exchange) in support of the EA Data Architecture initiative. Please provide the data or information needs for this investment that should be supported by your agency’s EA Data Architecture.

  6. Proposed Data Questions:Question 1 • Does the data or information required or maintained by this investment align with your agency’s EA Data Architecture? If so, the documentation artifact(s) must be available for review. If not, please explain. (Alignment means that your information needs have been associated with information categories and/or subjects areas in your agency’s EA Data Architecture, and referenced to the applicable business functions or processes where the data is needed or processed).

  7. Proposed Data Questions:Question 2 • Is the data or information required or maintained by this investment being shared or will be shared with others? (DRM’s definition of data sharing: the use of information by one or more consumer that is produced by another source other than the consumer).If so, please provide the answers to the following: • What data or information is being shared? • Is the data shared internally or externally to your agency? • Please provide the supplier and/or consumer of this information. • If known, please indicate if it is the authoritative source based on government authorization, statute or directive.[Examples: a) Social Security Number (SSN) from Social Services Administration, Social Security Act; b) Country Code from Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 10-4, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Public Law 100-235].
