Slicing Tips • Slice as few images as possible (use background images and text) • Zoom in to slice as close to the image as possible • Set unused slices to no image • Do not overlap slices unless necessary
Naming Images • Name images in lowercase • Separate words by _ or – do not use spaces • Use common sense • Have SEO In mind • Use individual names
Saving Images • When possible use .gif over .jpg (overall load time is quicker when image sizes are smaller) • When saving as a .jpg use lowest compression possible without losing quality of the image • Click on save for web and choose .gif or .jpg from the drop down. Stay one folder above the images folder • Always save the sliced image as a .psd for future reference
