OVERVIEW • Hainan Association has more then 100 years of history. • Currently the most progressive Clan Association in the country. • Is documented by Malaysian Book of records as the first Chinese Association with ISO. • Have 41 elected exco committee members to run the affair of Association on 2 years term.

  3. OBJECTIVES • To foster and develop closer relationship between the Youth and Professional within the Hainanese community. • Create Hainanese identity by trying to use this forum and gathering to speak our mother tongue. • Business networking and to share experiences. • To create and identify business/career opportunities for members. • Get more members to participate and share in our currently activities i. e reading club, dancing, singing ,Chinese orchestra and arts.

  4. ACTIVITIES UPDATE • Selangor and W/P Hainan Youth had been awarded the best Chinese Youth organization together with the Hokkien and Techew Association for the 2003. • We had recently participate in the Kelantan State Chinese Cultural Festival. • Youth section visited Kuantan, Trengganu and Kota Bahru Hainan Association 17th to 19th Oct.

NEW ACTIVITIES SUGGESTED • Speech craft and public speaking program. • Looking at setting up toast master style of program for Mandarin, English and Hainanese speakers. • Getting professional speakers to talk on topics that are of interest to members. • Stimulate and induce more English educated Hainanese members to participate.

  6. BUSINESS DIRECTORY • Travel and tour consultant. • Publishing and printing. • Chinese Press advertisement. • Education • Agriculture consultant. • Information Technologist. • Service industries • Others

  7. GATHERING AGENDA • Opening and introduction Youth leaders. • Guest speaker- Chairman, Vice-Chairman or respectable senior committee members. • Presentation. • Open to the floor for discussion and deliberation of suggestion and topics of interest. • Announcement if any. • Close.

  8. HOUSE KEEPING RULE • We would not like to dwell in sensitive issues. • No politics. • No religious issues • No yellow culture. • No personal attack. • Be constructive in criticism • Observe silence when speaker are talking.

  9. ANNOUNCEMENT • On 7th December 2003 , all clans meeting and dialogue will be held at Thean Hou Temple. • World Hainan Congress to held in March 2004 , venue Hainan Island PRC.
