  2. IRIS Project Update: What’s Happening with UK’s SAP Implementation?

  3. IRIS Project – Phase One In Phase One of the IRIS Project, these SAP modules will replace the core functionality of our legacy systems: • Finance (FI) • Human Resources (HR) • Campus Management (CM) • Materials Management (MM)

  4. Implementing SAP – The ASAP Methodology Dates to be determined during Blueprint We are here. January, 2005 August 6 - December 17, 2004

  5. IRIS Project Assumptions • The implementation will follow a phased approach, with Phase One focusing on core functionality required to replace legacy systems. • Project scopewill be closelymonitored and controlled. • UK willutilize all functionalityprovided by SAP andWILL replace non-SAP software when the functionality is available in the new system. • The scope of the implementation does NOTinclude changes to the SAP software.

  6. IRIS Project Assumptions • UKwill modify current business practicesto adopt SAP’s standard functionality. • Legacyenhancements will be frozen, unless required by law or regulation. • Implementation cost and schedule will depend ontimely decision-making.

  7. How will the SAP Implementation affect our work at UK? • We willlose some of the customizations we have developed. • Our actions/inputwillimpact others. • We will learn new processesandnew technology at the same time. • Our workwillslow down. And finally…

  8. How will the SAP Implementation affect our work at UK? • Wewillwork harder and get less done. • We willdeal with more data entry, duplication of effort, and data review. In other words, itwillbe painful…. at least temporarily.
