2. In 2001, a competition was held for re-writing the Lord's Prayer for the mobile phone, using just 160 characters or less. It was judged by the Churches' Broadcasting Conference.

3. The task itself was not easy. The traditional version of the Lord's Prayer is 372 characters long, so whittling it down to 160 characters meant cutting the prayer by more than half but without losing anything important.

9. [5] And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. [6] But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your Father who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

28. Coming to the Lord in prayer is a privilege given to those who are called to be His children.

29. It stems from a loving relationship that is a fruit of God’s forgiveness through His Son.

30. As recipients of God’s mercy and as partakers of God’s love, we have the boldness to offer sincere and meaningful prayers to God-OUR FATHER.

31. His love and mercy enables us to forgive those who sin against us only because we have received the same kind of forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
