Costa Rica Program If you are interested in studying Spanish in Costa Rica, apply for your passport and let Mrs. Briceno know right away. Trips are currently being planned for Maymester and Summer. Applications are available at Mrs. Briceno’s website. The projected cost of the trip is $1200-$1500 (plus tuition). Scholarships and other forms of financial assistance are available.
SGC Republicans • SGC REPUBLICANS will MEET on THURSDAYS from 12:20 to 12:50 in DAVIS 202. • All interested members of the SGC community are welcome. • Note: There will be no “demonizing” of the democrats at these meetings.

Debate Club • SGC Debate Club is sponsoring a debate in the Art Gallery, Tuesday April 15th, at 4:00 pm. • The topics are tentatively to be 1) Whether the U.S. should have universal health care; and 2) Whether marijuana should be legalized. • All are invited to hear these debates and also to join the Debate Team.

Film • Students for Social Awareness will show the film Hotel Rwanda on Monday, April 21 at 5 P.M. in Laird Auditorium. • We will also distribute literature about the on-going genocide in Darfur, a topic tragically ignored by the media. • This is open to any member of the community.
SSS Workshop • Student Support Services will be presenting a Student Led Workshopentitled “Making the Grade, Test Preparation Skills” • It will be held Thursday, April 24, 12:30 in Powell Hall, room 105 • A light lunch will be served.
