A person that is round and plump in appearance. Speech or writing that is overly rich with vocabulary meant to impress the reader. Someone with a curvy physique. Slender, thin. Speech or writing that is concise and direct without unnecessary elaboration.. Teletubbies, cauldrons, manatees, whales. The voices of Opera singers and some radio personalities. Politicians. Quoting Shakespeare in his explanation of the stock marker crash made his speech sound too rotund for the circumstances. The opera singer had both a rotund voice and physique.
