Get a sound working understanding of what each document is telling you. • Read the three essays. • For each essay: • Apply the rubric and score. • Write one MEAL paragraph in which you justify your score. • Remember, purpose is to familiarize yourself with the content as well as APUSH writing expectations.

  3. DBQ • In the post–Civil War United States, corporations grew significantly in number, size, and influence. Analyze the impact of big business on the economy and politics and the responses of Americans to these changes. Confine your answer to the period 1870 to 1900.
