  3. Aden desert (Yemen) lack of water constrains development. Hot throughout year. Farming impossible. Semi-arid areas annual rain 250-500mm/yr. Water conservation can make farming possible. Guarantee of warm and dry good for tourist development e.g Red Sea coast, Egypt.
