  3. Biblical Stewardship Teaches: • God owns everything • God has given us responsibility to manage His resources • As stewards we are accountable

  4. The Sense of Stewardship • Money is a test • If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s who shall give you that which is your own? • Luke 16:11,12

  5. OBJECTIVE: Provide service to pastors, local churches, and individuals regarding Biblical principles of finance Time  Talent  Treasure

  6. STEWARDSHIP MINISTRIES • 85% Pastors feel they have never been equipped to teach Biblical Principles of Finance • 90% Have no plan or program to teach stewardship • Satanic Conspiracy of Silence

  7. Time  Talent  Treasure • Our need to give far exceeds the Church’s need for money • Meet the need for the person in the pew

  8. SREWARDSHIP MINISTRIES • Four Overlapping Groups with Needs • Deep trouble, over-extended, pressure • Seem OK, but a paycheck from disaster • Affairs “wisely”, but not God-honoring • God-honoring with significant resources

  9. Time  Talent  Treasure • Effective stewardship education with the focus on the spirituality of the individual • Raise an awareness of tithing that releases our people

  10. STEWARDSHIP MINISTRIES • The Tithe is the Historic Benchmark • Gives a Release not found in any other form of Christian obedience • Free from materialism, worry, anxiety, pride • Brings all under the Lordship of Jesus

  11. STEWARDSHIP MINISTRIES • Encourage wills and trusts • Provide a spiritual guardian for minor children • Ask ourselves why God has provided more than enough

  12. STEWARDSHIP MINISTRIES Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the furstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. Proverbs 3:9.10

  18. The Sense of Stewardship By God’s Grace Resolve To: • Give the Historic Benchmark, the TITHE • Move from NET to GROSS TITHE • Move UP a Level in Giving • Share the JOY of Faithful Stewardship

  19. The Sense of Stewardship When this sense of stewardship settles into our very soul, we arise with a fire in us

  20. The Sense of Stewardship • Creates a resolve in our heart to never disappoint our Lord • Creates a spirit of faithfulness and commitment in us • Drives us to be faithful out of gratitude not fear
