ServiceAlerts& Updates • Re: Transportation disruptions in Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Interior and Northern B.C. regions. • Ground access into and out of British Columbia is limited following the widespread damage and road closures caused by the severe flooding and landslides. Poor weather conditions have continued to create significant challenges and further issues in transporting freight to, from, and within BC.

  4. ServiceAlerts& Updates • As a result, our transportation network has been forced to divert and reroute through non-direct routes and we’re seeing increases in cost to serve in these areas. Guaranteed services are also suspended for road freight and courier. This has caused delays in service, and additional freight surcharges from our partner carriers and couriers due to the extra fuel and operational cost of these re-routes for freight entering and exiting British Columbia’s lower mainland.

ServiceAlerts& Updates • These delays and surcharges are out of our control. • If you have a shipment that is sensitive please contact our experienced team of logistics experts who will work with you to find the best solution if one is available. • Here’s what you need to know: • The British Columbia government has declared a provincial state of emergency.

ServiceAlerts& Updates • The following list outlines some of the current disruptions we are seeing. • Road: Guaranteed services are suspended for road freight and courier. • Carriers are picking up as capacity becomes available. Expect delays due to backlog. • Most carriers are not accepting full loads, restricted to up to 10,000 lbs or 10’ of trailer.

ServiceAlerts& Updates • YRC and Day & Ross are routing shipments through the US, but there will be additional delays over regular transit times to account for the extra distance. • Some courier ground service has resumed. You should start seeing these options in CSS SMARTT Shipping as the systems update. Expect delays due to backlog. • Rail: CP and CN rail service delays are expected as they work throughthebacklog.
