THE BOOK OF PSALMS The Songs of Prayse
My Psalm: Prayse • If the earth can praise your Name tilting its head forward and backward bringing forth the heat of summer and the chills of winter • What of those who are called by your Name? • If the Clouds echo in voices of thunder and strikes with cymbals of lightning! • What of us who have a symphony of joy in our hearts? • If the Sun can whip up spheres, and let the billows roar, rustling leaves and uproot trees! And yet be as gentle as a dove. • What of us who are constrained by the love of the Son?
My Psalm: Prayse • If the Clouds pour out when they are full, pit, pit, pattering drops rushing into a heavy shower driven by the breeze • What about I who have tasted and ate of your goodness, mercy and truth? • If the rivers while they run roars, over rocks, down the hills to the seas • What of us who run with our feet shod with the gospel of peace? • We will make melodies of prayse to Thee our Creator and our Friend.
