  6. IDEA behind Automobile Starter Solenoid: when solenoid is energized, B-field pulls iron core in, engaging gears that connect the starter motor to flywheel of engine. Once current to solenoid is interrupted, a spring disengages the gears and pushes the iron core to the right.
