  2. ABOUT STATCOM Statistics in the Community (STATCOM) at DePaul University offers pro bono statistical consulting to local businesses and organizations. All students of various backgrounds are welcome to share their expertise to support project needs.

Melancholic Depression Study Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science Analyze survey responses from medical students in private and public universities about topics taught in their courses on melancholic depression Examine how the importance of certain topics may vary by location and course content

  8. American Burn Association Right now we are on the step to selecting variables to build prediction model. Data consisting of burn damage percentage and etc. Will approach from a different way other than original method.

  9. Heritage Health Prize Competition Valence Health Heritage Health Prize: “Improve Healthcare, Win $3,000,000” Create a model to predict the number of hospitalizations within the next year based on claims data Submission Deadline: April 2013

Youth Community Survey (YCS) Ridgewood High School Examine social characteristics of the entire student body through a national survey Ways You Can Participate: Distribute and administer surveys to each homeroom Collect and analyze data using Survey Design Methodology Prepare reports on findings to faculty and counselors Share findings via power point presentation

  11. Youth Community Survey (YCS) Project Timeline November: General meeting at the high school to set up time frame for completion Early January: Distribution of surveys and data collection January-May: Survey response analysis Late May – June: Presentation of findings

  12. Student Loan Default Factors Determine key factors that may lead a student to default on their loans Examine demographics, enrollment data, and financial data about each student Develop a model to determine the types of students who may default on their loans Completion Date: February 2013
