  2.  Echo devices are smart speaker devices that are designed and developed by Amazon. They are not just speakers, but do multiple tasks for you. You can have them read out the daily news, weather forecast, set alarms or even play music for you from your playlist. For your device to be able to do all of this, Your Echo show requires an active Wi-Fi connection to speak, process your commands and stream media. Here is what you need for Amazon Echo Show setup with Wi-Fi network:

Before you begin: Before you begin:  Make sure your device is plugged in to a power outlet.  DownloadAlexa app.  Steps:  Open the Alexa app and navigate to the left side panel and select settings  Select your device now and choose “update Wi-fi”. If you are adding a new device, choose the option of “set up a new device” instead  On your Echo show device, press and hold the Action button until the light ring changes from blue to orange. Your mobile device will now get connected to your Echo show device. A list of available Wi-Fi networks will appear on the app. Note:TheAlexa app will ask you to manually connect your network to yourEcho show device through your Wi-Fi settings for the first time alone.

  5.  Select your personal Wi-Fi network and enter the network password (if there is one). If you are unable to see your Wi-Fi network, scroll down and select“Add a Network” or Rescan for networks.  MAC address: If you need to add your Alexa device to your router's list of approved devices, scroll down on the screen until you find the MAC address.  Optional - Save your Wi-Fi password to Amazon:Any Wi-Fi passwords saved during setup automatically appears when you attempt to connect a new Alexa device to the same Wi-Fi network. The password will also be remembered if you switch between already saved Wi-Fi networks.

  6.  Optional - Connect to a public network: Enter required information (if asked) if you are connecting your device to a public network that requires a web browser to log in, for ex: school or hotel. The information could be a password, room number, or just a button indicating to accept terms and conditions for using the network. You can contact the local network owner for more information.  Select Connect.After your Echo show device is connected to your Wi-Fi network, a confirmation message appears on the app. Your Alexa Echo Show Setup is complete and you're now ready to use Alexa.
