  2. FAMU Honors Program What is the Honors Program? Qualifications At the beginning of the school year freshmans are invited into the program as long as they meet the criteria. 3.5 high school GPA 1100 SAT score 26 ACT score • It is a program that allows the students to have a more challenging and stimulating approach towards learning. • Moto: “ Excellence with Caring”. • It welcomes applicants in all disciplines ( e.i Arts& sciences, Education, Engineering, etc.)

  3. Early Admissions • The early admission program is specially designed for high school students who show that they are able to do college level work. • Qualifications for program: - 3.0 GPA ( as calculated by FAMU) - 19 academic units required - SAT score of at least 1010 - ACT sore of 21 - a recommendation from high school principal

  4. Weighting • Eligibility is determined by the following scale: GPA SAT-I ACT 2.00 - 2.09 1140 25 2.10 - 2.19 1110 24 2.20 - 2.29 1090 23 2.30 - 2.39 1060 22 2.40 - 2.49 1030 22 2.50 - 2.59 1010 21 2.60 - 2.69 1000 21 2.70 - 2.79 990 21 2.80 - 2.89 980 20 2.90 - 2.99 970 20
