  1. Project Connect: Putting VoIP Capabilities into EVT IST 302 – Team 2 Liz Bartels Jordan Godfrey DaeJakLee Mark Kozlowski Steve Romero

  2. Project Connect Background • EnvioTech sent out a RFP for a VoIP Pilot • Enable 300 staff members • voice and facsimile connectivity • at any unclassified EVT office location offering a broadband connection • Web-enabled video conferencing between two EVT office locations • Present a viable path for expanding the offering to the rest of EVT.

  3. Solution • Instead of implementing our own VoIP system, it was considered better and cheaper to look for current VoIP technologies and modify it for use in EVT. • Use existing VoIP technologies and customize it to meet EVT’s needs. • The customization includes: • The creation of a user interface for the VoIP system. • The creation of a support website for the solution (evtvoip.weebly.com) • Purchase adapters to append to the fax machines, to give EVT’s VoIP solution facsimile capabilities. • Systems and Software engineers will be hired to append the adapters to EVT fax machines. • Training and support for the new technologies will consist of paid professional positions.
