This study evaluates the technical and sustainability feasibility of incorporating waste cooking oil (WCO) as an alternative feedstock for diesel production in the existing refinery. The aim is to improve the sustainability of diesel by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and utilizing WCO, which is currently problematic in terms of disposal. The study examines catalyst evaluation, optimal operating conditions, and the effect of WCO on diesel quality. Preliminary results show a potential reduction of GHG emissions by 21.4%.
