  1. Experiment #1Students of different ages were given 21 of stacking cups They were timed to see how long it took to stack all 21 in a pyramid.

  2. Experiment #2An investigation was done with to see which type of battery, a 9V, AA or D-cell, would make a light bulb glow the brightest when connected to the battery with wires.

  3. Experiment #3Students wondered how high a hill on a rollercoaster needs to be to give the ride enough energy to complete a vertical loop safely.

  4. Experiment #4Weather students wanted to find out if the air temperature was different at different altitudes.

  5. Experiment #5Students were assigned a diet with a certain amount of calories (1200cals, 1800cals or 2000cals) to eat for 2 weeks. Their weights were recorded before and after the 2 week diet.

  6. Experiment #6Students of different ages were given the same jigsaw puzzle to put together. They were timed to see how long it took to finish the puzzle.

  7. Experiment #7An investigation was done with an electromagnetic system made from a battery and 1 meter of wire wrapped around a nail. Different sizes of nails were used. The number of paper clips the electromagnet could pick up was measured.

  8. Experiment #8Students were heating different solids and recording the temperatures that each changed into a liquid.
