KW Middle School – Dean of Students • Led back-to school-orientation for students and parents. • Planned and led middle school staff meetings. • Handled discipline for all middle school students. • Participated in middle school IEP meetings. • Conducted formal observations of non-tenured staff. • Part of hiring team for multiple middle school teachers. • Member of PLC implementation team. • Member of District AYP Committee. • Provided communication with parents regarding orientation, conferences, and other middle school activities. • Responsible for Special Education Transportation for the district. • Report monthly at the School Board Meeting about middle school happenings. • Member of IEP Team for due process hearing.
KW Elementary School • Assisted with student discipline. • Planned and facilitated portions of staff development. • Participated in elementary school IEP meetings. • Provided leadership in the implementation of 2nd/3rd grade combination class. • Played a critical part in the hiring of three new elementary teachers. • Member of Elementary School AYP Committee. • Responsible for Special Education Transportation for the district.

Competency Overview • Since the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year, I have had the opportunity to work in an administrative position at Kenyon Wanamingo Schools. In my position as Middle School Dean of Students, I had primary responsibility for our students and staff in grades 5-8, though I also had administrative experiences in our high school and elementary school. During these last two plus school years, I have been able to demonstrate competency in each area through the different responsibilities, projects, and experiences I have had. • Evidence of Competency
