What’s up with Atlas?. Atlas right now. -Teachers complain about Atlas not being user- friendly. -THEY ARE RIGHT! -We need to streamline their work and make it more efficient, not add to their load or create busywork because it "might" be helpful. Atlas: already more efficient.

Atlas right now -Teachers complain about Atlas not being user-friendly. -THEY ARE RIGHT! -We need to streamline their work and make it more efficient, not add to their load or create busywork because it "might" be helpful.
Atlas: already more efficient -split into stages to make curriculum planning easier and more intuitive
Stage 1 -Identify Desired Results (what are the standards that need to be met?) -Guided questions, Learning Objectives, and Content are also here, but we’ll get to those later
Stage 2 Determine Acceptable Evidence (how to assess)
Stage 3 Plan Learning Activities
Atlas: the issues we still have 1. Classes we don't need. 2. Differentiation is vague. Mindy is working on a drop-down menu. 3. Technology integration is vague. Leader feedback is still needed! 4. There are two redundant boxes: Content and Learning Objectives. So there is confusion and they’re not used properly.
Feedback Needed • Assessment Items • Technology Integration
Feedback Needed -Cutting out redundancies/duplicate work by eliminating the Learning Objectives box and combining Content and Learning Activities. "Nothing is less productive than to make more efficient what should not be done at all." - Peter Drucker, author of classic The Effective Executive Here’s an example:
Cool stuff we know about Atlas: • Accessible from anywhere. • Everyone understands the base level of documentation required (just fill in the boxes).

Year 7 and Key Stage 3 integrated units • Greater communication between departments
