  3. Components of the Md Library Website: • Blogs include any blogs relevant to the curriculum or clubs • OASIS- Web-based system that allows users to access library resources from anywhere. Use username: mdlib pw:circ5 for textbook circulation • Databases-include free or subscriptions to resources to benefit student and staff assignments.

  4. The database page has a password link on top. • mdraiders is the password to use. • Then you will be privy to all the necessary passwords • Suggestion: print out the password page and keep it in a logical location.

Components of the Md Library Website • Class Assignments- Using QUIA librarian and teachers set up useful websites to facilitate learning. • Style sheet, parenthetical documentation and plagiarism? help with writing a research paper. All students will be taking the plagiarism quiz at library orientation. • Teacher Tools –our main focus includes websites most useful for teachers.

  6. Teacher Tools • ERIC Educational bibliography with full-text journal articles. • Do an advanced search to only get full-text • Ex. Look up “literacy grade 9” • Webmax- you will need your BOCES assigned username; the password for everyone is “media” • Note that now you can access all types of media and videostreaming from Learn 360, PBS and BOCES own. • Try looking for “hurricanes” and “ancient Egypt”

  10. Libra Web • Accesses the public library catalog and database access. • Can reserve material if you have your library card. • Material for classes can be reserved for and delivered to MD Library.
