The Company originated in Burbank, California as J&E Ironworks; where they began construction and installation of fences, gates and other iron structures. In 1981 the company moved to Sacramento and primarily sub-contracted for others. In 1990, they began to focus on the core business:  custom iron fence, gates and access control systems, specifically for commercial and apartment complexes and residential gated communities.
