  3. 2012 London Olympics • Worked at EcoBuild as part of the Olympic Delivery Authority’s Learning Legacy programme • focussing on the overarching strategy for reducing the life-cycle carbon cost of the Olympic Games • The procurement and use of sustainable concrete on the Olympic Park • Kirsten Henson has worked to ensure the possibility of fulfilling the London 2012 bid team’s promise to produce the first ‘sustainable’ games

Conclusion • Director of KLH Sustainability, and formally Senior Sustainability Advisor for the ODA Delivery Partner for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games • she has now been appointed as the official sustainable consultant to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) • Kirsten Henson is highly regarded by the client, designers and contractors as an innovative thinker with an ability to deliver, she is taking her engagement methods and technical solutions to the wider world through Built for Training having worked with leading organisations such as Balfour Beatty and BuroHappold.
