Andy Warhol • was american painter, filmmaker and leader of visual art movement – pop art. • was born in Pittsburgh in 1928, but his parents were born in Miková (near Medzilaborce). • studied commercial art at Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh. • painted famous Campbell's Soup Can, logo of Coca Cola, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. • has museum in Pittsburgh (there are more than 4 000 of his arts) and Medzilaborce.

Komajota • is a music band formed in Prešov. • became popular with a song Ráno v novinách from their first album Časopriestor. • published another 2 albums – Bludisko and Kolobeh. • Song Mesto v nás was made because of the project European capital city of culture and its music video shows how the Prešov looks like.

IMT Smile • is famous music band from Prešov formed in 1992. • The name of this band is made from the capital letters of the main members, two brothers – Ivan and Miro Táslerovci. • published 9 albums. • Since 2007 they organise Dobrý festival, which is very popular among people from Prešov region.

  7. Katarína Knechtová • is young pop-singer, pianist, guitarist, composer and also songwriter born in Prešov. • By the year 1997 she was a vocalist in the IMT Smile, but now people associate her with a band called Peha. • published 7 albums and one of them (Zodiak) she produced on her own.
