Social Views • For Surrogacy • People should be able to start a family however it is possible for them. • Everyone has the right to enjoy parenthood. • A woman should have the choice to do what she wants with her body.

Cons of Surrogacy • Medical testing for surrogate mother • Financial obligations • Price of surrogate ranges from $30,000-$50,000 • Surrogate is sometimes not allowed to keep in contact with child after birth due to contract • Possible violation of abstention clause
Ethical Questions • What are possible psychological effects on the child? • Should the surrogate be paid? • Is this commercialization? • Is the payment for the child or for the service? • Is this human trafficking? • What if the child is handicapped? • Who has legal parental rights? • Is an adoption process necessary? • What kind of records are kept? • Should the child have access? • Should the child be told?
