NJ DRIVER LICENSE • VISION TEST – 20/50 VISION WITH OR WITHOUT GLASSES OR CORRECTIVE LENSES • KNOWLEDGE – 80% • ROAD TEST
VISUAL ACUITY –ability to see clearly FIELD OF VISION – see ahead & to your right and left AREA OF CENTRAL VISION – clearest in a narrow beam directly in front of you PERIPHERAL VISION – angles to the right and left
Depth Perception – gives 3 dimensional perspective to objects • Judging Distance – estimating distance between yourself and an object • Color Blindness – unable to tell the difference between red and green, and blue and yellow

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROAD TEST Vehicle may not have any obstructions or consoles that prevent the examiner from reaching the foot or parking brake Self parking vehicles cannot be used
FAILURE OF ROAD TEST = 2 WEEKS IMPROPER, EXPIRED, OR NO INSPECTION STICKER PREVENTS THE EXAMINER FROM REACHING PARKING BRAKE ANY DEFECT OR CONDITION THAT MAKES THE VEHICLE UNSAFE SELF PARKING VEHICLES
