What Apartment Did You Choose and Why? • I chose to rent a 4 bedroom, 5 bath, 2,550 sq ft house in San Diego, California . I chose to rent this house because it is on the beach and I would like to work their after college. The house also has a lot of room so I can get roommates to help pay the rent.
How Will You Pay For This Apartment? • The rent for this apartment is $15,000 per month. I plan on getting a job in order to pay my share of the rent and my roommates will pay their shares. We will divide up the furnishing costs amongst each of us.
How Many Roommates Will You Have?/ How Will the Rent and Utilities Be Split? • The house has 4 bedrooms so I plan on getting 3 other roommates making my rent only $3,750 per month. Like the rent the utilities will be split equally among all 4 of the housemates.
How Will You Furnish the Apartment?/What Types of Furnishings Will You Have • I plan on furnishing the house with items that were previously there and different items brought by my roommates and myself. I will most likely get some of my furnishings from my parents and other smaller items I will purchase with money I have saved. A couple items I will buy are lamps, towels, and nightstands.
How Will You Fulfill Your Obligation As a Tenant and Maintain This Apartment? • In order to fulfill my obligation as a tenant I will make sure to pay my rent and utility bills on time and if needed help roommates pay their share. I will keep all damage to the property within reasonable wear and tear but if anything is damaged outside those parameters I will be sure to fix it myself.
